To anyone who has recently bought a home in Alberta or anyone planning on doins so before Christmas, GOOD ON YA!! The economy is about to change and for many reasons:
The uncertainty of the US election is behind us. Truth was it didn't matter who won - Alberta will rock and roll anyway. Proof of that in the recent upgrader announcement with 8000 construction jobs, oddly enough just after the US election.
The Alberta Government just announced a fast track on the Highway 63 twinning. Look around, every major oilfield related company is hiring, I see recently added decals on company vehicles everywhere stating they are hiring. Inventive companies are distributing free drink coasters to eating and drinking establishments promoting new jobs. My phone call volume has increased at least double over the past week at a time when most would expect it to be slowing down.
So again Congratulations to the buyers who refused to procrastinate. Your reward - a better deal on a house with a better interest rate on your mortgage.
